Stefan Karcher

Stefan Karcher works at the Faculty of Theology at the University of Heidelberg and finished his dissertation on 19^th-century Academic Sermons in March 2019. During his reflections on methods and theory of Digital Humanities he co-founded the “Interdisciplinary Forum of Digital Textual Sciences” (InFoDiTex), a Junior Research Infrastructure. He is a Practical Theologian (with an background in history and theory of science) involved in a student cooperation project between theologians and computational linguists about digital analysis of contemporary sermons.
