Worthäufigkeiten machen Gesagtes wie auch Nichtgesagtes einer sprechenden und schreibenden Gesellschaft sichtbar und geben so Aufschluss über die Diskurse einer Zeit. Dies wird durch die interpretative Arbeit der Forschenden ermöglicht, welche den empirischen Befund der Worthäufigkeit in den Kontext weiteren Wissens einbetten.
